A clean office is the dream of all of us. At 2MCleaners we know that one of the best sensations we can have is to work in a place where we feel comfortable and we can find everything we need easily.
That’s why today we’re going to give you a few tricks to keep the office tidy and clean. If you follow them properly you will have an ideal workspace. In your working hours you will no longer be stressed because you can’t find what you need or because you don’t have enough space.
1. Create a system to archive your documents to have a clean office.
Although we now handle almost all information online, the use of paper in offices does not go away. We understand that the most important information is printed. Therefore, we recommend that you start sorting your documents to expedite the cleanliness of the office.
Leave the day behind when your desk was full of papers and you didn’t know what each one was. Use drawers or file cabinets to store important papers and create a classification method for each document type.
Some of the classification ways you can use are:
• Sort by colors each file.
• Label each folder, tray, or drawer with the name of the document type.

2. Customize your workspace in a moderate and practical way
Make suitable the workspace is a fundamental part of the creative development process because it creates a pleasant atmosphere. However, don’t get so into it and don’t overdo the decoration of your job. Customize your space in a minimalist way with 2 or 3 objects you like.
If you start putting too many things you will have many distractions and you will not have enough space to do your work. Also, if you have too many objects on your desk you will increase the time you’ve spent cleaning your office. Imagine that every time you clean the dust in the office, you will have to lift and clean every single thing on your desk. Not good at all.
3. Avoid eating at your desk to keep it clean and tidy
We recommend to you never eat on your desktop. We are aware that this can often be difficult to accomplish, mainly when you have a lot of work. However, this is key to keeping an office clean. No matter where you work, chances are you’ll get a different eating space than your work position or cubicle. So, take at least 15 minutes for lunch or eat a snack at the set table for it. That is in the cafeteria or dining room.
This way, you’ll avoid having crumbs or leftover food that will make you have a dirty office. Remember, we often don’t notice the crumbs that fall from our cookies or the small pieces of food that fall from lunch. If we eat at the desk, all this will end up on the computer making it difficult to clean.

4. Have a trash can nearby to keep your workplace clean
To keep an office clean it is important that you acquire new habits (good ones). It has happened to all of us that in just a few minutes we ruined the overall cleanliness of our work area. This unpleasant situation can go through the way we quickly fill our desk with unnecessary things.
For example: when we are filling out a form and we go wrong, instead of throwing it in the trash we leave it on our desk -since we remember that this document no longer serves- but soon or later (too late) we have to get rid of it.
For this problem the solution is simple: Put a trash can near your workplace. So, you can get rid of the trash quickly and you can do your job without interruption.

5. When your workday ends, check that your area is clean
At the end of the day we recommend checking if you leave your office clean. In case the answer is no, do the cleaning and maintenance of your work area needs. This daily task will only take a few minutes and will allow you to have a clean office when you start the workday the next day.
This little cleaning maintenance plan should do simple tasks, such as picking up trash you haven’t thrown away or clean your computer and desktop to prevent dust buildup.
We hope you’ve made these tricks clear to you. Remember that we are a certified cleaning company and we can help you have a clean office.
